Giants Keep Russell Wilson as Starting QB vs Cowboys
The New York Giants are sticking with Russell Wilson as their starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Coach Brian Daboll made the announcement Monday, despite Wilson's poor performance last week.
Wilson's Rough Game vs Washington
Wilson struggled badly in the Giants' 21-6 loss to Washington on Sunday. He threw for just 168 yards on 17-of-37 passing with no touchdowns. The offense looked sluggish all game, managing only 231 total yards.
The veteran QB was especially bad under pressure, completing just 2 of 12 passes for 26 yards when rushed by defenders.

Why Stick with Wilson?
Coach Daboll was unsure about Wilson after Sunday's game but decided to give him another chance. The coaching staff believes Wilson can bounce back against Dallas rather than making a quick change at quarterback.
Rookie QB Waiting
First-round pick Jaxson Dart is ready as Wilson's backup. The rookie looked sharp in preseason, throwing for 372 yards and 3 touchdowns with no interceptions. Many fans want to see what Dart can do in a real game.
Jameis Winston is also available as the third quarterback.
Big Test vs Cowboys
Sunday's game against Dallas is huge for Wilson and the Giants. Wilson needs to play much better to keep his starting job and help the team compete in the tough NFC East division.
If Wilson struggles again, don't be surprised if the Giants turn to rookie Dart sooner rather than later.
